Jezebel

Age: 8

Meet Jezebel! We think she's about 8 years old, but that is very much an estimate as she has been bounced around and had a rough start to life. We hope to make her latter years very differently! About a year ago she was rescued from a shelter in Alabama and she was fixed up medically, but her rescuers had a job change and now no longer have the appropriate time to keep up with her care. Her jaw is crooked as it was broken in the past. She is also very low energy and shy. She came with a soft grey bed and doesn't like to leave it! She is house trained and looking for love!

UPDATE 1/25: It has taken Jezebel awhile to feel safe in her foster home, but she has really made some progress recently! She is more willing to go outside, but will still occasionally have accidents indoors. She will be getting checked out by our vet this week and we hope she will be medically cleared! She does great with cats and would do fine with dogs, although she does not care to interact with them.

Update: 2/15 Jezebel was found to be heartworm positive and has begun her long journey of heartworm treatment. She will receive her first injection at the end of February. She will be on medical hold probably until early May.

UPDATE 4/1: Jezebel is doing great during treatment and has not had any adverse reactions. She is scheduled for her second heartworm injection next week and will be ready to find her forever home in early May. She will do fine with dogs her size or smaller. She is still laid back, but has more pep in her step since she's feeling better now!
