New Year Update
1/3/10:
We want to thank everyone for all the support and donations received for 2009. All the care packages and Holiday gifts were very much appreciated by all the bulldogs and rescue team at FEBR. We loved all the cards and photos too. FEBR could not function if it was not for the supporters like yourself. We solely rely on donations for the medical care of the rescued bulldogs. We did not post up a Christmas wish list this year but have had several emails asking what the rescue needs. Items that we use the most are:
Heart worm and Flea meds
Refresh Liquid Gel eye drops
Hypo Tear eye wash
Puralube eye ointment
Nyla bones
Crate blankets/pads
Crates
These items can be mailed to:
FEBR
PO BOX 754
Odessa, FL. 33556
or brought to any of our events (if you are local) And as always, monetary donations are always welcomed. If you have made a donation, THANK YOU! from the bottom of our Bully hearts.

~~Zena~~
Donations needed!
Zena is new to the rescue and has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart. She also has a very enlongated palate that needs surgery now. She can not tolerate any activity at all. Her system is compromised but surgery is the only way to help her breathe. We have run EKGs and Echos, and all came back within normal limits. So with a few more heart xrays and continuous cardiac monitoring, Zena will have soft palate surgery, tail amputation and spay. She is only 3 years old and deserves a chance at a normal bully life.
Please help Zena, as her surgery bill will be high.
UPDATE ON ZENA:
7/4/10:
Surgeries are complete and Zena is back at FEBR recovering. Her tail looks great and she has the "all clear" from cardiology. Although she has lost 10lbs, she is back to eating well and looking good.
thank you for all the support during Zena's hospitalization.
We are now accepting applications for Zena!

~~Olive~~
Mommy to be, Miss Olive came to FEBR just last week. She was found as a stray carrying 6 babies in her belly. She is an english bulldog mix and FEBR just couldn't say no to helping her. Before Miss Olive leaves us she will be spayed and have double cherry eye surgery. As for her babies, we hope for a healthy delivery of 6 pups! The babies will be ready for adoption within 10 weeks of birth but we don't know what they will look like since the daddy is unknown.
Send in your applications for Miss Olive and/or one of her pups soon :-)
Update 5/26/10 Olive's Puppies are here!!!!!
Over the night Miss Olive delivered 8 puppies. One was stillborn but the 7 remaining are doing well. Olive did great and is being a good mommy. Volunteers at FEBR will care for Olive and her pups until they are old enough to be spayed and neutered. They will all be up for adoption, so get you application in soon if you are interested. They all look like momma Olive so we have no clue as to who the daddy is or how big they will be.
Donations are needed to help support this family of cuties including puppy pads, toys, puppy food, etc. We would also appreciate donations towards all the pups vaccines, spays and neuters.
Update: 6/11/10 The babies have opened their eyes! They are starting to walk a little too.

Update: 6/20/10 The babies are definitely growing up fast! They are full of energy and wanting to inspect everything :-)) Olive is being a great mommy, she is incredibly sweet and patient. We have two females and five males, they should be ready to go home at the end of July.

Here they are! Currently they are all available. Please include their name in the application so we know who you are interested in.
Bentley, Denver, Fin, Izzy, Tate, Link and May

~~Chester~~
Another Big Bully to love. Chester needs more than love though. He has a bladder stone that needs to be removed asap! He is 4 years old and this will be his second time around for stone surgery. Chester will be placed on a special diet to prevent anymore surgeries and will have to remain on it the rest of his life. Chester is good with kids and other dogs and will make someone very happy soon. Please help Chester and donate to his surgery fund. Remember, FEBR soley relys on donations to save all of these wonderful bulldogs.

6/4/10 Chester is doing much better!! He feels great after the stones have been removed!! He will still need some time to recover with us but will soon be ready for his new home!

~~T-Bone~~
We are sad to say that Tbone has been returned to FEBR after a failed adoption :-(
He is once again, a senior bulldog looking for a place to retire.
This little old man is stuck in his ways and although is very sweet, funny and lov-a-bull, he probably will not change. He just could not be nice to his new sister. Tbone has free roam of the house here at rescue and has no problems with the other rescue'd bullies as long as:
You don't tug on supermans cape
You dont spit into the wind
You dont pull the mask of the ole' lone ranger
and you dont mess around with T-bone
If you think Tbone is your match....let us know. He spends 90% of the day on the couch sleeping. The other 10% of the day involves eating, drinking, 2 short potty breaks and then it's off to the bedroom to cry at the door until "Doodles" comes to bed. He is also talented and will speak on command :-)

~~Fiona~~
Fiona is another victim of this disposable society we live in. This beautiful girl was left at a home by a man who said he could not keep her anymore. He supposivly knew this house bred bulldogs so we guess he figured they would find Fiona a home. This person called FEBR to help. When we arrived, we were shocked to find that Fiona still had C-Section sutures in place. Where are her puppies? When did she give birth? No one knows these answers. All we know is that it is obvious she was used for breeding..they sold or kept her puppies and dumped Fiona when they were threw with her.
She is as sweet as she can be and did not deserve to be disposed of this way. FEBR will take care of Fiona and make sure she is treated like the princess she is and find her a new castle soon.
UPDATE 3/5/10
FEBR TOOK FIONA FOR HER CHECK UP AND TO HAVE THOSE INFECTED SUTURES REMOVED AND
SHE HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORMS!
ARE WE SURPRISED? NOT REALLY, NOW WE KNOW WHY HER OWNER DUMPED HER.
We are sure they got her as a puppy thinking they could make some $$$ off her. Probably never took her to the vet for routine care , vaccinations, and heartworm prevention.
Bred the hell out of her. Kept her in a kennel most of her life, let her get hearTworms because they were too stupid to give prevention, and now they know she is too old to push out anymore puppies for them and OF COURSE they will not treat her for heartworms so they threw her out like a bag of garbage.
TYPICAL BACK YARD BREEDER!

FEBR will treat Fiona for Hearworms, have her spayed, treat her ear infections and anything else she needs.
Heartworm treatmant alone costs febr $800. Please help if you can!
Fiona's Heart worm treatment begins 5/7/10. We hope that she will be ready for adoption in 2 months.
6/11/10 Fiona is ready to go to her forever home! She has been through so much and deserve a family that will love her for the rest of her life.

~~Aggie~~
From her foster mom:
Aggie has enough energy for 12 bulldogs! She is very sweet with people and is learning manners like “don’t jump on people for attention” which was obviously never taught before. She just wants to play, get love, play, give love, play, wiggle, play! Given time and structure, I think she is going to be a fantastic, fun little girl for the right family. She loves being with her pawrent and while she formerly barked and whined when separated...no longer does that thanks to proper attention to the matter. She learned this in less than two weeks. That means she is teachable!!!
She and her foster sister have started “supervised” playtime and are really wearing each other out! It’s fantastic to watch two bullies play in their *very *unique way. Maybe we will get a video up for you.
While still being evaluated, Aggie may have a case of leash aggression. We will keep you posted after her spay on her attitude and manners. Again, rehabilitation is the key and that’s what we are here for...thanks for your support for Aggie!

Update:6/23/10 Aggie is doing great! She still has regular training sessions but should be ready to go home soon!

~~Bubba~~
Bubba is a wonderful 3 year old bully looking for his forever home! He will do best with older children, who are aware of his strength. Bubba also likes to be the king of the house so an only dog home would be his preference. He is very stubborn, loves cats for dinner and requires daily cleaning of his deep facial folds.

~~Winnie~~
Miss Wini is a 6 year old bullie girl with lots of personality =) She is great with people but may be a little rough for kids under the age of 10.
She may do better as the only dog in a home, she's not too fond of her foster brothers lol. She is crate trained, potty trained, and loves her walks. She has a great demeanor to her, happy to sleep all day on a comfy bed but will play if you initiate play time, then back to sleep she goes! She has a dry eye
and may require drops but other than that is healthy as a horse!

~~Molly~~
Molly is a 6 year old little princess! She came to FEBR in pretty bad shape, eye infection, ear infection and in desperate need of a bath. After a little TLC she is feeling much better. She is a smaller bully and loves to get her beauty rest. Molly is extremely sweet and deserves a loving home!

~~Goose Jelly Biscuit~~
Goose Jelly Biscuit is new to the rescue! We can't seem to decide on this guys name. Help us! He barks like a goose and to us he looks like a jelly biscuit. :-) As you can see he will need alot of wrinkle cleaning! More updates to come.
p.s. He loves bath time ;)

~~Ben~~
Let us introduce you to Ben!! He is a 3 year old boy. Ben is a very sweet bully who is also one of our bullies that loves cats...just not in a 'i wanna live with a cat" way. He is being treated for a skin infection but will be just fine soon.

~~LuLu~~
LuLu is new to the rescue. She is 4 years old. More updates to come!
Update: 6/20/10 LuLu is a very very sweet girl! We think she is an olde english bulldog. She is a little taller then most but still has all the wrinkles! She gets along great with other dogs. She enjoys walks and lots of butt rubs :-))

~~Bunker~~
Miss Bunker is new to the rescue. More updates to come!
Update: 6/20/10 Bunker is an energetic, playful bully! She is a very happy bully and loves to run and eat. She will be spayed next week and may need soft palate surgery.

~~Hootie~~
Look at cutie hootie! A beautiful 2 year old male bullie! More updates to come!

~~Peanut~~
Look at this little peanut! Beautiful new bully to the rescue! Rescued from a shelter with an upper respiratory infection, Peanut is doing much better now at FEBR.

~~Butch~~
Butch is a new boy to rescue. He was originally found as a stray and had many medical issues. A nice family took him in, found his owner (who no longer wanted him) and gave him medical attention. They then contacted FEBR to help find his for-ever home. He is a very sweet, social well behaved boy that is ready for adoption.

~~Shug~~
(short for Sugar)
Just like her name....Sweet Bully girl rescued from a shelter with her eye bulging out of its socket.
Updates to come.

~~Petunia~~
Petunia is a big girl and has a big personaility!! She is sweet sweet sweet!!! Petunia is between 6-7 years old. She needs daily eye medicine and is on a special diet.
