Puddin

May 2, 2019 by Jennifer Corman

UPDATE: Puddin is now ready to find his forever home! Puddin is looking so much better and has been doing well on his current treatment plan. Pemphigus is an auto-immune issue affecting his skin, so it will never completely go away but hopefully with the proper treatment it can be kept at bay. His future family will need to continue to monitor how he does and adjust any meds accordingly with a great veterinarian. Puddin has a fantastic temperament and would make a great addition to any home. He does very good with other dogs! Puddin loves car rides and is fully house trained. Look how great he looks now compared to his before photos!

    Puddin
This sweet boy is only 4 years old. He came in to rescue due to chronic skin infections. After doing skin biopsies, he has been diagnosed with Phemphigus. This is a treatable auto-immune condition that can not be cured, but we hope to have him in remission soon. He will be a special needs adoption and will make someone very happy.  After just a week of treatment, he is looking much better!

BEFORE PICTURES & Puddin’s Journey:

UPDATE 7/23:
Puddin is doing well on his treatment plan, which includes many baths and medications. He is looking and feeling SO MUCH Better! Puddin has a great temperament and would do well with other dogs and kids too. He is feeling better and even played tug of war with his foster brother the other day! Puddin will be available for adoption when his phemphigus goes into remission. Flare ups will always be possible though, so we will need an adopter willing to take on Puddin’s special needs.

Update 9/7: Puddin continues to make great strides and we are hopeful should be ready for adoption soon! It’s amazing how far he has come with the right medication and treatment plan! Puddin does great with other dogs and really enjoys their company.

UPDATE 10/12: Puddin continues to progress it looks like he is nearing remission and should be ready soon to start looking for his forever family.
