Bowzer
Description:
This holiday season FEBR welcomed a special senior bully into rescue. He was stuck in the Jacksonville shelter and we pulled him and transported him to a foster home in the Tampa area. He is nearly blind, has major skin problems and from it all can be a bit irritable. Our vet estimated that like the shelter thought he was at least 10 years old and had lived a very rough life. If you would like to open your home to a senior bully please let us know. He will need to be in a home with no children and little stimulation. We'll keep you updated on this handsome man's progress.
1/15/16: Bowzer is adjusting well to his foster home. He has really begun bonding with his foster mom. His foster parents have a special place in their heart now for this sweet boy. We are treating his skin and he is now on a special hypoallergenic diet. His skin has shown some signs of improvement and may gradually continue to improve. Bowzer is now happy and spoiled in his foster home!
3/17/16: Bowzer checking in! I am really enjoying my life with FEBR. I adore my foster sister Smores and we will even share the same dog bed with her. I have done great with dogs and really enjoy having others around. I am doing great on my current diet and meds and really enjoying chewing on nylabones! Let me know if you are interested in making me part of your family! I do great with dogs, but am incredibly stubborn so will do better around adults than children.
